For my first time drawing something TOTALLY SCI-FI, I'd like some help. :D

Take a look and all. I'm not gonna change the pose, but I'd like suggestions for machinery to add to the bg walls and the monsterthingie. Right now it looks like a cockroach, but I suck at drawing monsters so help.

Aaaand that's it. You can link tutorials or references and all. I'll love you forever, or maybe not, but definitely for a while.

Oooooh..... giant man-eating, half-mechanical cockraoch..... SCARY!

As for technology.... "We need guns. Lots of guns." I'd go look at video game artwork, were I you, m'dear. Oooh! Oooh! Or like volume 8-9ish of VoH where they're in Slur!! (Watanabe-sensei does a lot of nice machinery....) Otherwise... Gundam series? Macross? Anything with giant robots...
